                  TRAVEL CHECK LIST

                                 Pre Trip                            

  • All Lights and fans off
  • Cabinets closed and locked
  • Chocks removed and stowed
  • Drain/fill hoses stowed, caps on
  • Electric disconnected and cords stowed
  • Furnace and A/C off
  • Jacks up and locked
  • Lower TV antenna/satellite dish
  • Check pressure regulator
  • Retract slides and install braces
  • Secure all windows and ceiling vents
  • Stow show and bathroom supplies
  • Turn off propane
  • Water heater off
  • Wheels torqued
  • Retract entry step
  • Be sure inside weight is evenly distributed
  • Awning secured
  • Check lights/turn signals, tires and engine oil
  • Disconnect CATV/Phone
  • Dump and reset black and grey tanks
  • Empty and stow trashcans
  • Hitch locked and secured
  • Lights and brakes checked
  • Prepare refrigerator for traveling
  • Pull off levelers and stow levelers
  • Secure all loose items
  • Stow folding chairs and other outside items
  • Stow TV and TV shelf
  • Water bottle for truck
  • Water pump off
  • Check roof rack or storage pod
  • Shut off all gas pilot lights
  • NEVER, EVER BACK TRAILER WITHOUT FIRST POSTING A LOOKOUT WITH RADIO

                         Summer RV Checklist 

  • Clean and lubricate entry step for smooth operation
  • Check and lubricate slide room mechanism and check and treat slide room seals
  • Coach and chassis battery terminals should be cleaned
  • Water levels in batteries should be checked at least monthly
  • Check all window and roof seals at least twice a year and clean and reseal as needed
  • If you have a rubber roof it should also be inspected, cleaned and treated at least once a year
  • Tire pressure should be checked
  • Pressurized water system and check all lines and fixtures for leaks before you set out for a trip
  • Clean and lubricate all exterior door locks and hinges for smooth operation
  • Lubricate awning, latches and knobs and inspect and clean canvas to prevent mildew
